Jared Allen’s Homes 4 Wounded Warriors Project (JAH4WW) has announced the recipient of their next custom built home. Sergeant First Class Cory Remsburg, of Arizona, will be handed the keys to his new remodeled home built specifically for his unique needs in Mid-March, 2015. Peak One Builders (A Proud Veteran Owned Business Member) and JAH4WW (A proud Veteran Owned Business Non-Profit Member) have worked together on many homes for wounded warriors over the years.

Nonprofit Member BadgeJared Allen’s Homes 4 Wounded Warriors is a non-profit organization created for the sole purpose of building or modifying homes for America’s injured veterans to provide comfortable and accessible living conditions. Headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, JAH4WW was founded in 2009 by NFL Pro-Bowl Defensive End Jared Allen, of the Chicago Bears. Cory Remsburg joined the Army at age 18 and underwent intense, specialized training to become an Elite Army Ranger, eventually becoming the leader of his company’s heavy weapons squad. On October 1, 2009, during his tenth deployment to the Middle East, his platoon was hit by a roadside bomb in the Kandahar region in Afghanistan and Cory suffered a penetrating head wound with shrapnel lodged in his brain. His injuries left Cory in a coma for over three months and required dozens of surgeries. After years of rehabilitation, Cory has made a miraculous recovery, though he is partially paralyzed on his left side, and blind in his right eye.Modifications to Cory’s new home will include a widening of all doorways, installation of new accessible appliances and fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchen and new special flooring. In 2014, JAH4WW kicked off a remodel commencement ceremony for Remsburg. This year, JAH4WW is beyond excited to complete the remodel and proudly hand over the keys to Army Sgt. 1st Class Cory Remsburg.
