2020 Veterans Remembrance Ruck

$15 – $25Veterans Remembrance Ruck 10K Ruck & 5K Race is an event with an emphasis on teams. (Individuals may run the race, but we encourage you to find a team of 4.) Rucks are weighted backpacks or vests – 40 lbs. for the men and 20 lbs. for the women. All team members must cross the finishline to get official time. (*Due to availability of 40 lb. versus 45 lb. vest at sporting good stores, we have decreased the men’s weight requirement.)
Team RWB is a non-profit veterans organization with the mission to enrich the lives of American Veterans by connecting them to their community through fitness and social activities such as this Ruck/Run or other.

The registration guarantees you a shirt and a swag bag of stuff donated from local vendors.

Covid-19 Updates
We will be adhering to local guidelines in response to the risks of COVID-19 to include breaking groups up to maintain limits and maintaining 6 feet of separation between people.
Disclaimer: COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. The Virus is mostly spread by respiratory droplets released when people talk, cough, or sneeze. Please practice the following guidelines before, during, and after the event.
*Wash your hands often (avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands).
*Social distancing: stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people.
*Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.
*Staying home when sick and monitor your health.
*Discourage sharing of items that are difficult to clean, sanitize, or disinfect.
FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking available near the event on Terrace Drive. There will be a cost to enter Oak Mountain State Park unless you are a Veteran. Veterans get in free to all Nation Parks.
What can I bring into the event?
If you are participating in the Ruck, you must bring the your weighted pack or vest. 40lbs for Men and 20lbs for women.

No refunds for any ticket purchased.

Waivers will be available at the event that must be signed before participating.
