Join us for the spectacular return of this one-of-a-kind celebration of patriotic music, aircraft, food, fun and fireworks!
This outdoor concert, air show and fireworks celebration is the perfect blend of history and family friendly fun shared over a picnic basket! Toast with your favorite wine or beer (available for purchase), enjoy a VIP experience or a private chalet and wave the Stars and Stripes to your favorite patriotic tune or aviation movie theme, all while supporting the Military Aviation Museum and its year-round educational programs!
Hosted at the Military Aviation Museum, Flying Proms features the Virginia Wind Symphony playing alongside flight demonstrations from some of the world’s rarest warbirds. With themes grabbed from some of the most popular aviation and adventure films, as well as from history itself, enjoy graceful aerial maneuvers and a stunning musical performance as the sun sets. The symphony will continue into the night with a selection of patriotic melodies in celebration of the United States. The final overture is punctuated with a grand fireworks display, providing the perfect end to a magical evening.
Gates open at 5pm, and the concert begins at 7pm. The general admission seating area extends across one of our grass taxiways, and is the perfect location for a picnic blanket. There are seated VIP options for those who would prefer not to bring their own chairs.
Tickets prices will increase the week of the show both online and in person. Tickets can also be purchased in advance at the Museum Store.
