The 2022 Tennessee State Guard Annual Banquet is an opportunity for TNSG volunteers to come together with their families and celebrate a year of unprecedented accomplishments and look forward to a new year of support for our sister organization, the Tennessee National Guard. It is a way for the TNSG and the Military Department leadership to thank all of our selfless volunteers and their families for their great service and sacrifice to our beloved State.
The proceeds from this event go to the Tennessee State Guard Foundation to enhance our ability to purchase resources needed for our duty that the NG could not fund, like Pactor Modems and ACU uniform items.

Our theme is “Semper Paratus”. This slogan, latin for “Always Ready”, is typical of our history. Our readiness and ability to quickly respond when called upon, as well as our drive to make things happen, even in the most challenging situations like this year’s COVID and Waverly/McKewen missions, are what produce our great results. Therefore, we keep our unbreakable bond with each other in the tradition of the original Tennessee Volunteers who crossed at Sycamore Shoals and went on to defeat the British at King’s Mountain. We also unite in spirit with the Tennessee volunteers led by Davy Crockett, who held Santa Ana’s Mexican army at bay for 13 days at the Alamo and died giving Sam Houston the time he needed to prepare the troops for victory later on at San Jacinto.
We are called to be the last line of defense for Tennesseans and we proudly rise up to the challenge. Semper Paratus !!!!!
Enjoy the banquet. This is yours!
Chago Santiago, Brigadier General
