There will several ways to participate in the 2023 Gold Star Families Memorial Ride (Florida), either as a Full Phase-line participant from 22 April – 29 April 2023, Single Phase-line participation, or even by participating in a single leg on this Mission to Recognize Our Gold Star Families, Remember their Fallen Heroes, and Honor Florida’s Veterans.

Motorcycle Ride open to all other forms of transportation such as JEEPs, Classic Cars, ect…

Proceeds from this event are dispersed equally between the Woody Williams Foundation, Project Roll Call, and the Sunshine State Veterans Fund.

We have expanded the 2023 Gold Star Families Memorial Ride (Florida) this year to include visiting Florida Veterans Homes and having Wreath Ceremonies at a couple additional Monuments. We will also take a break in South Florida for participants to take in some of the many offers in the local area. Below is an overview our daily travel itinerary. The final schedule will be published soon, as we are continuing to work on finalizing a couple details and timelines, as well as adding a couple additional stops.

Saturday 22 April 2023, Phase-line 1

• Launches from BOTH Pensacola Florida (Panhandle) AND Ormond Beach Florida (East Coast)

• Panhandle Opening Ceremony (Early AM) at the Veterans Memorial Park Pensacola in Pensacola, FL

• Panhandle Wreath Ceremony at the Gulf Coast Gold Star Families Memorial Monument East Coast Launch: Time TBD from J&P Cycles Ormond Beach FL

• East Coast visit at Emory L Bennett Veterans Home in Daytona Beach

• Panhandle Visit at Chester Sims Veterans Home in Panama City Panhandle ride along Florida State Route 22 in Memory of all we have lost to unseen wounds

• East Coast-Visit at the Clyde E. Lassen Veterans Home in St. Augustine

• Panhandle stop in Tallahassee

• East Coast Wreath Ceremony at Jacksonville National Cemetery

• Arrivals at American Legion Post 57 in Lake City

• Panhandle and East Coast Launches combine with locals to Parade and Visit to the Jenkins Domiciliary in Lake City Return to American Legion Post 57 for dinner, keynote address, and presentation

 

Sunday 23 April 2023 Phase-line 2

 

• Lunch and Rider pickup at American Legion Post 64 in Okeechobee

• Wreath Ceremony at the Florida Seminole Veteran’s Building in Okeechobee

• Visit at the Ardie R. Copas Veterans Home in Port St. Lucie

• Wreath Ceremony at Port St Lucie Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in Port St Lucie

• Dinner and bed down at American Legion Post 318 in Port St. Lucie

 

Monday 24 April 2023 Phase-line 3

• Wreath Ceremony at Palm Beach County Gold Star Families Memorial Monument located at Trinity Park in West Palm Beach

• Visit at the Sandy Nininger Veterans Home in Pembroke Pines

• Mission Pause until Tuesday afternoon

 

Tuesday 25 April 2023

 

• Mission Stop For ‘Taco Tuesday’ and to ‘Brake For Bunnies’ at Alabama Jack’s in Key Largo, time TBD

 

Wednesday 26 April 2023 Phase-line 5

 

• Launch from Florida City with travel through the Everglades on the Tamiami Trail

• Wreath Ceremony at the No One Left Behind Monument in Bonita Springs FL

• Wreath Ceremony at the Iraq War Heroes Monument, Veterans Memorial Park in Cape Coral Florida

• Visit at the Douglas Jacobson Veterans Home in Pt. Charlotte

• Dinner and bed down at the DAV located in Bradenton, FL

 

Thursday 27 April 2023 Phase-line 5

 

• Option 1 for Circle of Heroes in Clearwater Florida (more information to follow)

• Tampa Overnight Host TBD

 

Friday 28 April 2023 Phase-line 6

 

• Launch from overnight host for school program at Franklin Boys Preparatory Academy in Tampa

• Wreath Ceremony at Tampa FL Gold Star Families Memorial Monument located at Franklin Middle School

• Option 2 for Circle of Heroes in Clearwater Florida (more information to follow)

• Travel back to Overnight host for dinner, presentation, and bed down

 

Saturday 29 April 2023 Phase-line 7

 

• Launch from overnight host to McDill Park on the Riverwalk in Tampa

• Wreath Ceremony at the City of Tampa Gold Star Families Memorial Monument

• Lunch at Mission BBQ

• Visit at the Baldomero Lopez Veterans Home in Land O Lakes

• Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, FL

• Wreath Ceremony at Florida National Cemetery Gold Star Families Memorial Monument

• Closing Ceremony
