The 2023 Tennessee State Guard Annual Banquet is an opportunity for TNSG volunteers, friends, and family to come together with their families and celebrate a year of accomplishments and look forward to a new year of support for our sister organization, the Tennessee National Guard. It is a way for the TNSG and the Military Department leadership to thank all of our selfless volunteers and their families for their great service and sacrifice to our beloved State.

The proceeds from this event go to the Tennessee State Guard Foundation to enhance our ability to purchase resources needed for our duty that the NG could not fund, like Pactor Modems and ACU uniform items.

The Holiday Inn Express Manchester is physically connected to the Manchester Conference Center. We have set aside a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $96.00/night plus taxes, for those traveling to the event. First come, first serve.

NOTE CHANGE – Make hotel reservations by calling the hotel at: 931-728-9383, and use Group Code “TSG.” The correct rate of $96 plus tax will display when you search for your room.

Our theme is “Semper Paratus.”  This slogan, latin for “Always Ready,” is representative of the Tennessee State Guard and our history of “Volunteers.” Our readiness and ability to quickly respond when called to do so in the COVID Pandemic and the 2021 Waverly/McKewen missions produced great results. Our recent activations are in the best traditions of the original Tennessee Volunteers: Tennesseans who crossed the river at Sycamore Shoals and defeated the British at King’s Mountain; with the Tennessee volunteers led by Davy Crockett who held Santa Ana’s Mexican army at bay for 13 days at the Alamo and who died giving Sam Houston the time he needed to prepare troops for victory at San Jacinto; and with Zachary Taylor during the Mexican War of 1846.

We are called to be the last line of defense for Tennesseans and we proudly rise up to the challenge. Semper Paratus !!!!!

Enjoy the banquet. This is yours!

Kevin Stewart, Brigadier General
