What is 2A Range Day?
As we looked at the state of the gun community we realized that there was an increasing gap between the average gun owner and ‘elite’ shooters. We sought to narrow that gap. We believe that we get better as a whole when the entire community improves their skillset. Led by a group of diverse shooters (in background and profession), we started the 2A range days as a means to get normal ‘average’ gun owners to come out to train, build community, try new equipment, and ultimately continue to grow the 2A community both in size and skillset.
Who can attend? Do I need to be an experienced shooter?
Anyone can attend It is for the normal everyday gun owner all the way up to tier 1 operators. You don’t need to have certain experience or credentials nor do you have to have a big social media following. These days are about building community and training together. Everyone is welcome. Our only requirement is that you be safe with your firearms at all times. If issues arise we deal with them on a case by case basis.
Is there a fee to watch?
No, there is no fee to watch, however, you will have to pay for food. The idea is to get more people out training and learning together, however, we understand that some may not feel up to it or just want to take it all in at first. That is perfectly fine. Come hang out, enjoy the community, and eat some food!
What do we need to bring (equipment, water, food, ammo, etc.)?
Bring whatever gear you want to train with or in. There are no gear requirements other than bringing what you have. We will have water and food on-site, but we also highly recommend you bring your own drinks and snacks as well. We can typically shoot 200 to 500 rounds.
Can we bring tents, tables, chairs, etc.?
Yes. We will have covered areas and tables, but they fill up fast. You are more than welcome to bring your own tents, chairs, and tables. We will detail this along with check-in as we get closer to the event.
What does the schedule of the day look like?
We describe it as party style. We have various stations set up, each focusing on different fundamental skills that challenge shooters of all skill levels. We will allow participants to rotate through all stations. Our training session runs about 4 hours, we find that we get optimum performance during that time frame. At the end of the day, we will close out with raffles and share drinks and cigars together.
Why are you charging? What does it cover?
In order to stream line the process and keep a pro shop/website going, we have opted to charge upfront. This ultimately leads to a smoother check-in process and improves the overall experience. The cost includes your range fee and all amenities provided like food, water, etc. You can always bring your own snacks to munch on. The event cost is $50 for members and $75 for non-members
