42nd Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games Kid’s Day

The Kid’s Day event at the NVWG offers local children with physical disabilities an opportunity to explore adaptive sports opportunities.
The Kids Day event at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games offers local children (ages 5-12), with physical disabilities, an opportunity to interact with wheelchair athletes competing in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Under the guidance of these experienced athlete mentors, the children will enjoy learning about and participating in adaptive sports activities.
This year’s activities will include slalom, disc golf and bass fishing. Kids Day promotes a fun and active lifestyle to children with physical disabilities while fostering important life skills such as teamwork and determination. Participating kids will have an opportunity to learn about and participate in each sport.
The event is free of charge and lunch is included for participants. Parking will be free at the Convention Center for all those participating.
At the conclusion of the event, veteran athlete mentors will present the children with their own gold medals for participating in this year’s Kids Day event.
Each participant should plan to have a parent or guardian onsite during the event The National Veterans Wheelchair Games are co-presented by Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Veterans Administration.
