Come And Join Us as We Recognize Our Beloved U.S. Service Members, Veterans and Their Families at Our 7th Annual Veterans Fall Picnic.
About this event
Join us from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm featuring a keynote address by Major General Michael “Mick” McGuire with entertainment following by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Arizona Band.
The picnic will start with an opening prayer by Fr. Hubert and a Color Guard presentation by Scout Troop #446. Lunch will consist of your choice of a ham and cheese sandwich, a turkey and cheese sandwich or a chef’s salad (verge option), along with fruit, cookie, chips, lemonade and cake.
After the keynote address and music during lunch, David Van Wie will host a few Vietnam War documentary shorts and Michelle Forster will introduce “Saving Paws,” a non-profit which pairs veterans with rescue dogs.
Join us for our wonderful Veterans Reconnect event on the beautiful grounds of the Franciscan Renewal Center.
