About this Event
This winter will be especially tough for those in the Baltimore area, many of which were already living under the poverty level before the pandemic hit.
Much of the at risk populations including: children, elderly, veterans and the homeless will be even more vulnerable and cold this winter season.
The Changing Lives Initiative (in cooperation with local businesses and non-profit organizations) is hosting a Coat Drive in Baltimore to provide warm winter coats, apparel and supplies to those in need here in our community.
Our goal is to host a coat/clothing drive in accessible way to provide at least 100 warm winter coats/clothing and food to people in need.
We will be providing new or lightly used:
* Men/Women/Children Clothing
We would also like to provide new:
* Thermal underwear
* Non-Perishable Food
We are requesting in-kind donations of:
* Winter Apparel ( Coats, scarves, gloves, hats, thermal underwear, socks, etc.)
* COVID essentials (masks, hand sanitizer, soap, etc)
* Emergency Blankets
* Food (especially canned/ non-perishable)
* Coat Drive Supplies (Clothing Racks/ Tables)
We will be collecting donations from January 30 – February 15. We will host the coat drive the Saturday in the Greenmount neighborhood at the corner of Greenmount and North Avenue.
