This Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes will be held October 15, 2022, 8 am at the Lakeland Village Festival Park in Bridgeland

This Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes will be held October 15, 2022, at 8 am at the Lakeland Village Festival Park in Bridgeland in Cypress, TX. The event will include a 8:00 am 5k walk/ 10k run around Josey Lake & Park and a 9:00 am children’s 1k run around a portion of Bridgeland Lake, along with booth vendors, entertainment, and activities for the children. The children’s walk is open to strollers and wagons, the 5k & 10k are not open to strollers or wagons.
Fee is $35 for 5K adults and $40 for 10K adults with a non-refundable Early Bird discounted fee of $25/30, respectively, if you register before July 15th. Children are $20 or less depending on the number of children per family. (Processing fees apply)

Rules: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female 5K and 10k runners. 1st Place Prize to first boy and girl of 1K race/walk. Packet Pick up will occur only Friday, October 14th from 1-6pm at the Bridgleland/Lakeland Village Activity Center at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Drive, Cypress, Tx 77433. However, if you cannot make packet pick up on Friday you may pick up on Saturday 7-7:30 am at the Lakeland Village Festival Park Pavilion. Registration will close Thursday, October 13th @ noon. There will be no late registration . (Registrations after Oct 7th are not guaranteed a runners shirt.)
The purpose of the fun run is to 1.) Raise Funds to Build a $1.5 million dollar Veterans Memorial in the Bridgeland Community in Cypress, Texas, 2.) Support Immediate needs for Veterans in the Community and 3.) Continue our Veterans Memorial Day, Veterans Day Festivals, and Thanksgiving Turkeys for Veterans.
Make Sure You Honor your Hero by: Entering the name, rank, & branch of service, of the veteran or active service member you would like to honor, in your registration! We will create signs along the race course to honor their service.
What Do I Wear To The Event? Because you will be running, light clothing (weather appropriate) is suggested, along with a great pair of athletic shoes! Flip flops and sandals will not be allowed on the paths for safety reasons.
Where do I Park? What is the Location? You can park along Bridgeland Landing Rd, or in the back of the Village Center parking lot on Bridgeland Landing Rd. The Race is located at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Rd in the Lakeland Village Festival Park. No parking on neighborhood streets.
By participating in the fun, you grant us permission to take and use photographs of you or your children that are participating. The Fun Run/Walk for Heroes is a rain or shine event. However, should severe weather prevent the race from taking place, no refunds will be issued and all fees collected will be considered a donation to The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. If the Fun/Run Walk is canceled before 10-9-2022, refunds will be granted. Request your refund through the Eventbrite site. However, your donation is appreciated.
