Join us on Wed Aug 30 2023 at 5:30 PM (PDT) for an informative exhibit talk at the Central Coast Veterans Museum. Our exhibit, Lost at Sea, will explore the experiences of veterans who lost their lives at sea during their service, through a historical review of perilous military conflicts and natural disasters above and below the sea.
The exhibit talk presents a review of the USS Thresher, USS Scorpion, “The Lost 52”, USS Indianapolis, The Honda Point Disaster, and a story of miraculous survival after the USS Montebello attack. The presentation concludes with a Q & A session with local Navy Surface Ship and Submarine Veterans about their own at sea experiences.
This “Lost at Sea” exhibit talk will be offered three times throughout the summer in June, July and August. We encourage all to attend and learn about the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans. RSVP is not required but requested due to limited seating.

The Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit, history museum established in San Luis Obispo in 2002, honoring the service of all veterans with emphasis on those from the Central Coast of California.
