Friends of Mississippi Veterans Golf Classic & Sporting Clay Shoot

Last October hundreds of participants, donors and volunteers gathered at Jackson Country Club and Providence Hill Farm for the Golf Classic and Sporting Clay competition benefiting Friends of Mississippi Veterans. The success of those two events was attributable to people just like you who appreciate our veterans. This was the fourth year for the Sporting Clay and the second year for the Golf Classic. Thanks to the excellent response, participation, and assistance of so many, FOMV was able to construct pavilions at the Kosciusko, Oxford, and Jackson nursing homes (the Collins home had a pavilion in place). FOMV will continue to fund the “Wreaths Across America” project at the two state VA cemeteries in Newton and Kilmichael and place wreaths on approximately 1724 headstones. For Veterans Day 2022, we provided eight large screen TVs for the four VA Nursing Homes. There are now two large screen TVs at each home. A Birthday Card project will begin in January of 2023. Each resident veteran will receive a special birthday card from FOMV on their birthday.
