About this event
Daytime living history event: A once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from 10 veterans from WWII to Iraq and Afghanistan coming to tell their stories. Speakers include:
Irene Perbal a member of the Dutch resistance during Nazi occupation, Obie Wickersham of the US 82nd Airborne who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and Anzio Italy, Joe “Peppy” Sciara of US Army 25th Infantry who fought in the Philippines during WWII, Bill Schiebier a US Army Ranger with the First Air Cavalry during Vietnam, Tom Powel – US Air Force 1977-1981 with the Japan-Security Service and Kelly Air Force base, Darlene Tryon – Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom US Air Force for 5 combat tours with 26 yrs of service, LT Mary (Edie) Meeks – Vietnam US Army Nurses Corps 1968-1970, M’Lou Sorrin – Vietnam US Army Nurse Corps 1968-1969, Hunter Robichaux – Afghanistan US Marines who witnessed and assisted the US withdrawal, Aziz Azizulla – Afghanistan Interpreter for Force Recon Marine Chad Robichaux across 8 deployments.
Living History Conference starts at 8 A.M. and ends 4:00 P.M. with lunch included at the Best Western Hotel. Join us later in the evening for the Memorable Closing Dinner to honor all veterans, with entertainment and special guests. Cocktails start at 6 P.M. Dinner at 6:30-10:00 P.M.
