In Person: Veteran Appreciation Bags and Ornaments With NVMM @ 12:30PM

Children will show appreciation by creating thank you cards, assembling appreciation bags, and decorating holiday ornaments.
About this event
Who this In Person Event is for:
Ages 4-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome, but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling.
What you’ll be doing:
Seeds of Caring is partnering with the National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) to show our appreciation to veterans visiting the museum this Veteran’s Day. Families will grow in empathy as we learn about and honor our veterans and active service members. Children will work together to assemble 100 appreciation bags and create thank you cards that will be distributed to veterans visiting NVMM on Veteran’s Day. We will be creating holiday ornaments that will be sent overseas to active military through Operation Evergreen. After the event, families are encouraged to explore the museum with a scavenger hunt.
Admission to the museum is free for participating Seeds of Caring families.

Why you’ll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate:
On the next page, you’ll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for kids.
