We will travel to each of the 6 Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments Honoring Our Gold Star Families and lay a Wreath at each location

 

Inaugural Florida Gold Star Ride

Flags of Honor Escorts is organizing the Inaugural Florida Gold Star Ride 2-5 April 2022, in Honor of All Our Gold Star Families. Proceeds from this event will be dispersed evenly between the Woody Williams Foundation, the Sunshine State Veterans Fund, and Project Roll Call for their continued Missions to Honor and Support Our Gold Star Families and Our Veterans. Florida Gold Star Ride is Open to Motorcycles, Jeeps, and Classic Cars.

All vehicle operators must show current proof of insurance. By purchasing tickets for the Florida Gold Star Ride, each rider as well as each passenger assumes all responsibility. All sales final, No Refunds. Ride will take place rain or shine. Adjustment to times may occur due to inclement weather that prohibits or impacts an individual Wreath Laying.

Registration Categories and Dates with inclusions:

1. Hosted Bundle Registration: 1 February – 14 March 2022, $50. LIMITED TO 40 Participants. Includes Ride, Official Ride T-shirt, a secured place to roll out a sleeping bag, Dinner each night, and Lunch on 5 April.

2. Early Registration: 1 February – 14 March 2022, $30. Includes Ride, Official Ride T-shirt, and Lunch on 5 April.

3. Mid Registration: 15 March – 31 March 2022, $30. Includes Ride and Lunch on 5 April only.

4. Late Registration: 1 April – 5 April 2022, $35. Includes Ride Only.

The Florida Gold Star Ride will begin at the Gulf Coast Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (GSFMM) in Pensacola Florida, and travel to Florida’s additional GSFMMs in Port St Lucie, West Palm Beach, City of Tampa, Tampa, and the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Saturday 2 April 2022 Onsite Registration and check-in will be 8:30-12:00 at Veterans Memorial Park Pensacola, 200 10th Ave, Pensacola Florida. 10:00 Opening Ceremony, Wreath Laying at Gulf Coast GSFMM, OYO ride to overnight location. Check-in will remain open until 12:00 PM, following the Opening Ceremony, for late arrivals. Host Bundle Registrations will overnight in Lake City Florida at American Legion Post 57.

Sunday 3 April 2022, Wreath Laying at Port St Lucie GSFMM, 6:00 pm. Host Bundle Registrations will overnight in Port St Lucie, Location TBD.

Monday 4 April 2022, Wreath laying at Palm Beach County GSFMM, time TBD (early am), OYO Ride to Tampa, and Wreath Laying at City of Tampa GSFMM, time TBD (late afternoon). Host Registration Participants will overnight in Tampa at the Elks Lodge Tampa #708.

Tuesday 5 April 2022, Wreath Laying and Program at Tampa GSFMM, Group Ride to Florida National Cemetery GSFMM in Bushnell, Ceremony and Wreath Laying.

Lunch Provided 5 April 2022 for Host Bundle Registrations, Early Registrations, and Mid Registrations.

Drawing to be held on 5 April 2022 for a 50/50 Pot and a couple additional items.

***Limited Eligibility Drawing will be held on 5 April 2022 for a memento featuring Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel Woody Williams, USMC, WWII, Iwo Jima. Eligibility for this drawing requires being present for 5 of the 6 scheduled GSFMM Visits.
