International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day

We are gathering friends, family, and healthcare providers of veterans who have died by suicide to join together for healing & support.

The Chaplain Service & Suicide Prevention Team of the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia are the organizers of this event. People may choose to participate in-person or online.

The event will also include a candle lighting ceremony to remember and mourn the lives of Veterans who have died by suicide.

Participants will have the option to submit a name or names of a Veteran or Veterans who has/have died by suicide to the conference hosts, and a candle will be dedicated in memory of each Veteran.

This event covers what, to some, may be considered traumatic topics. By ordering tickets you are confirming that you (a) are over 18 years of age, and (b) agree to take full responsibility for your health and welfare during and after the event.

REGISTER NOW

Support staff will be available to provide immediate care for in-person participants.

If you or someone you know is in crisis here are some options:

1. call the National Suicide Hotline: 833, Veterans press 1.

2. go to the nearest emergency room, or escort the person in crisis to the nearest emergency room.

3. call 911.
