Join fellow veterans and service members at the Intrepid Museum to explore the Museum without the crowds. Then join peers for conversation, a behind-the-scenes experience and a catered dinner.

Art Workshop with Claymore Vets

Join fellow current and former service members at Intrepid After Hours! Maria Salazar—artist, Marine Corps veteran and founder of Claymore Vets—will lead participants through an art workshop. Claymore Vets uses visual art to help foster social reconnection and growth within the veteran community. Participants will create leaves in the memory of a fallen service member, which will be added to a collaborative Tree of Life sculpture, in honor of Memorial Day. Then, continue the conversation over a catered dinner.

All materials will be provided. No previous art experience required!

Can I bring a civilian guest?

Intrepid After Hours is for current and former service members only. The only exception is for personal care assistants in support of participants with disabilities. The Museum offers a number of other programs for veterans and their loved ones. Please visit intrepidmuseum.org/vets for information about upcoming programs.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
