IT Careers in the Foreign Service

Meet with the Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) to learn about careers and fellowships with the U.S. Department of State and how you can contribute your IT, engineering, and computer science skills as you live abroad and work in any one of more than 270 U.S. embassies, consulates or missions, or in Washington, D.C. These public service opportunities are available: Information Management Specialist (IMS), Information Management Technical Specialist – Unified Communications/Radio (IMTS – UC/R), and the Foreign Affairs Information Technology (FAIT) fellowship.
