Juneteenth

On June 19, 1865, Army Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger landed in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order Number 3, declaring, “all slaves are free” – enforcing The Emancipation Proclamation. On this Juneteenth commemoration, we honor all who fought for freedom and equality. #juneteenth #civilrights #america #emancipationproclamation
