The Heroes Journey is happy to present Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret – a powerful play bridging military-civilian gaps through storytelling – honoring veterans and informing citizens on the cost of war.
Join us in support of The Heroes Journey and our heroes for an unforgettable evening as we present Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret starring Scott Mann, playwright and co-founder of The Heroes Journey. Your ticket and donation benefits The Heroes Journey and our programs to address moral injury and help veterans, military, first responders and their families find their voice.

–Performance of Last Out: Experience the gripping and emotional performance of Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret, a play that provides an oral rendering of the longest war in American history. This moving portrayal will help you understand the journey of those who fought in the Afghan War and earlier conflicts, shedding light on the true cost of modern warfare.
–Talkback Session: Following the play, engage in an insightful Q&A session with the cast and veterans who will share their personal experiences and insights on the healing power of storytelling.

Annually, thousands of veteran’s transitions into civilian life, facing identity loss and a sense of inhabiting a different world. Our storytelling workshops, led by certified coaches and trauma interventionists, provide a safe space for warriors, protectors, and their families to unravel lived trauma and express their experiences.
Last Out mirrors the essence of our workshops, emphasizing the healing, personal development, and empowerment that storytelling offers.
