The Military History Center of the Carolinas (MHCC) is hosting a day for the public to learn about the weapons and equipment featured prominently in media such as film and video games. Films such as Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, Jarhead, and The Hurt Locker, as well as games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Hell Let Loose, Call of Duty Cold War, and the Battlefield franchise are host to an assortment of weapons and equipment that played significant roles in US military history. The event will cover the real-world history behind the pieces as well as their depiction in the media.
