About this event
Participate in the largest mental health fundraising event, NAMIWalks, as we join forces with NAMI affiliates across the country on a united day of hope: October 9, 2021.
Show your commitment to ending the stigma unfairly associated with mental health conditions, by joining us from 9-1 at one of three convenient locations:
- Veterans Park in Milwaukee
- Cutler Park in Waukesha
- or Virtually, from anywhere you are!
Register online namiwalks.org/southeastwi to get the complete NAMIWalks experience!
We are excited to be moving in to a new season of change: of improved health on the horizon for our communities; of opportunities to re-connect, face-to-face; and as a newly merged organization with an even greater reach across Jefferson, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. With this momentum, we must work to continue raising funds to keep pace with the rising need for mental health care.
Saturday, October 9, 2021 is the culmination of Mental Illness Awareness Week, and every step helps move us closer to our goal of ending the stigma surrounding mental health and raising funds to provide no-cost services. We plan to have a send-off point (in person) in both Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, but rather than the traditional 5K (with a mapped route, shared start time and a large gathering), we’ll get to meet and greet you before sending you off for Your Day, Your Way. Or, join us online for our virtual program – whatever feels right for you.
The rest of the day is up to you! Take pictures of whatever activity you do for our Walk Day, and be sure to share them on your social media (and don’t forget to provide a link to your personal fundraising page, too!). Use the hashtag #NotAlone and be sure to share with us, too!
