Fellow Student Veterans and Military Connected Students, You are invited to an upcoming barbecue competition, Operation Smoke Sheaux (OSS).
BLUF: $10K donation to the SVO from OSS. Volunteers needed March 18th. BBQ event, free food & t-shirt for volunteers. Food Network coverage.
The 3rd Annual Operation Smoke Sheaux BBQ competition is approaching and we are inviting you to participate! Last year OSS donated $10,000 in proceeds to the UL Lafayette Student Veteran Organization (SVO) and this year they have pledged another $10,000!!! This one event will raise enough funds to pay for 10+ future veteran events at no cost to you. This includes tickets to events, games such as paintball, dining out, crawfish boil, and more!!
We will need volunteers! Sign up to help with prepping jambalaya cooking our team’s ribs, chicken, and a brisket BBQ entry, manning our booth, serving food, driving golf carts, and more. Come hang around and say thank you to all of the supporters and organizers and help with whatever need arises.
Last year we had lots of fun and this year will be even better!!

How: RSVP as a volunteer and show up, volunteer, judge, cook, hospitality, hang out, etc.**RSVP to secure volunteer times. Free food and T-shirt for all volunteers. Spouses, family, etc. can also volunteer.**
*Max participation 4-7pm. Awards and SVO check presentation.
