Maxwell Air Force Base is proud to host Operation Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Celebration!
Maxwell Air Force Base is proud to host several upcoming events in our of our POW*MIAs, and Vietnam Veterans. We will kick-off the week of March 13-17 with the following events:
24-Hour Eternal Torch Relay in honor of Maj Samuel Mackall Deichelmann and the more than 81,500 POW*MIAs that still remain unaccounted for from past wars.
The Traveling Vietnam Tribute Wall will arrive in Montgomery, and be transported to Maxwell Air Force Base via military and police escort. We are excited to invite the community to come onto the installation to share in this event.
We will conclude the week with Operation Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Celebration. ALL Vietnam Veterans and their families are invited to attend this event to receive the Welcome Home you so richly deserved but has been denied to you all these years!
