Live painting will be done around town in the morning and displayed in Veterans Park in the afternoon during our fun arts festival!
Paint North Attleboro beautiful is a visual arts festival based on plein-air, a French term to indicate artwork that is created outdoors, on the spot. The event begins with artists converging on Veterans Park to sign in and receive some suggestions on potential painting spots. For the rest of the day, these artists will be seen throughout North Attleboro, working away at their easels. The event takes place on the same day as Keep North Attleboro Beautiful, hence the name. The purpose of this symbiosis is to highlight the work that has been done by that organization and to capture it through some of the paintings. Painting will stop mid-afternoon, when the artists will converge at Veterans Park again to drop off their pieces for the judges. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places, as well as a student category. The next two hours will be spent with an exhibit on the green, food trucks, children’s activities and an art sale, where the day’s pieces will be available for purchase.
