Southern Front Events Presents: Prelude to Case Blue, a new Great Patriotic War / Eastern Front event.
About this Event
An authentic, blank-fire only reenactment, focused on the days leading up to the fateful Germany offensive that would eventually wither and die in the ruins of that famous city on the Volga, Stalingrad. Fierce house to house fighting is still months away however as in June of 1942 Soviet and German forces faced each other around the Donets basin and the Sea of Azov.
This event, at a never before seen venue, will feature the Soviet 295th Rifle Division facing off against the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler and German 72nd Infantry Division.
