IMMORTAL 32 RUCK DESCRIPTION

Project Grit has meticulously crafted this event to push your mental and physical limits across an extensive distance. It follows a traditional, self-sustained approach, where you’ll be challenging your body, mind, and equipment. Be prepared for a demanding experience. While we’ll provide some support, the effort is ultimately yours to bear.

This isn’t a race; it’s a collective endeavor that relies on teamwork. Our strength is directly tied to the weakest member of the group. Not everyone will reach the finish line.

There’s no specific weight requirement for participants, except for the gear you choose to carry, so choose wisely. You are responsible for your own nutrition and water. While there are supply stores along the way, keep in mind that some of them are more than 15 miles apart at the beginning of the journey. Therefore, it’s essential to carry provisions.

For those who find the challenge too formidable and need to drop out, we have a support vehicle available. If you decide to tap out, this vehicle will transport you to a safe location along the route, where you can arrange for someone to pick you up.

Our meeting point is at the Gonzales Memorial Museum, specifically at the reflection pond, known as the Immortal 32 Memorial. The address is 414 Smith St., Gonzales, TX 78629. Our departure is scheduled for 1:30 am on March 1st, and we anticipate arriving at the Alamo around midday on March 2nd, Texas Independence Day.

Upon successfully completing the grueling 75-mile journey, all participants will be awarded the esteemed “Immortal 32 Ruck Finishers Patch,” a badge of honor signifying your achievement in making it to the Alamo. This patch can only be earned by those who complete the event.

We undertake this journey not only to test ourselves but also to raise funds for various causes that are changing people’s lives. Annually, we choose an organization engaged in impactful initiatives, aligning our rucking journey with their mission by promoting awareness and collecting donations, with a portion of the event proceeds contributing to their cause. For 2024, we proudly support Patriots Hall in Dripping Springs.

The mission of Patriots’ Hall is to create a permanent retreat and resource base for Veterans of all ages and military branches to connect and find support. Patriots’ Hall aims to unite Veterans through a variety of activities, including rotating art classes, therapeutic workshops, weekend campouts, job-networking, educational speakers, family gatherings, and an on-site wellness center.
