Sconiers Homeless Preventive Organization, Veterans Helping Veterans and Metro South Atlanta Realtists are working in collaboration to present the “Resource for All Veterans Fair” on the Southside. All of the organizations are 501 (c3) designated. This event will provide our Veterans and Heroes much needed services in the challenging times of the pandemic. We have been working in the community providing these services for the Veterans and others before the pandemic but now that they have been hit very hard by the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic, they are faced with many hardships beyond their control….
We have come together as a collaborative to address the needs of Veterans on the Southside of I-20 as this area has suffered the most before the pandemic and now from the pandemic and its impact on the families and the community. We continue to look for resources to help not just the Veterans but the struggling families south of I-20.
In support of our Veteran Heroes and their families, we are presenting the “Resources for All Veterans Fair” on June 5th, 10am – 2pm. The event will take place at Clayton County Beach, Griswell Senior Center, 2300 Highway 138 SE, Jonesboro, Ga. 30236.
Clayton County Chairman Commissioner Jeff Turner will be our keynote speaker for our Veteran Heroes at the Resources for All Veterans .
The Veterans will be able to access support and services through the attending vendors and organizations services such as The Warrior Alliance, Atlanta Volunteer Legal Foundation, NID Housing Counsel, VA Healthcare, Ga Stand Up, rental assistant programs, foreclosure, forbearance, real estate services, legal services, etc…
We are also offering tables at no cost to all the vendors. We will have different vendors to provide information on much needed services for Veterans and their families, such as benefits, legal assistance, healthcare, housing, rental, etc.
We will be providing continental breakfast and lunch for everyone , including the Veterans’ spouses and their guests and the vendors. We will also provide voter registration done by Georgia Stand Up as well.
