RNSBDC NJ State Certification & Private Contracting Workshop:

Prepare for state SBE, WBE, MBE and DVOSB certification and find state and private contracting opportunities. About this Event Every day, government agencies and large corporations spend billions on goods and services from small businesses. The Rutgers Newark SBDC wants to ensure that businesses owned by minorities, veterans and women are at the forefront of success. This workshop will help you to position your businesses so that you can compete for business opportunities with the City, State and Private Sector companies. This workshop will educate prospective New Jersey applicants on how to submit a successful Registration or Certification Application (WBE/MBE/SBE/VOB) with the state of New Jersey.

The training will provide helpful tips and information to complete a winning application. Learn which requests are relevant to your organizational structure Review the applications to determine how to present your responses Learn how to write a winning resume to reflect your work experience and the firm’s niche market to ensure that it reflects your business Review the importance of your firm’s services overview SPEAKERS Jinni Rock-Bailey Jinni Rock-Bailey is the President of Rock-Bailey Enterprises, Inc. a human resources consulting firm. She is considered a best practices guru in the fields of Human Resources, small business consulting and management training. She has created a successful practice through her ability to teach by sharing. John Cronin State of New Jersey Certification Auditor John Cronin is a Certification Auditor with The State of New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services. His job is to review and approve State of New Jersey certification applications for women and minority businesses.

(MBE; WBE: MWBE). He also reviews and approves New Jersey Small Business Vendor Registration applications (SBE), Veteran Owned Business (VOB), and Service Related Veteran Owned Business (DVOB) EVENT VENUE/FORMAT DISCLAIMER In response to the recent developments of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In the event that you cannot participate online you can request a refund 7 days before the event date otherwise you will receive a credit to attend the event at later date.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY You can cancel your ticket(s) to our event within 7 days of the scheduled date by requesting in writing to [email protected]. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the scheduled event

WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. An internal credit will be given to you to attend the event at a later date and you will be offered 1 year to redeem this credit. We require a 2 week advance notice to schedule you for the next available event. Any tickets purchased tickets that results in a “No Show” to the event will not be refunded. By not showing up for the event you have forfeited money paid and previous internal credit offered.
