Suicide Prevention/Intervention Training

We’re back at SWU for the 3rd year for this workshop led by Dr Ken “Lou” Koon, a leading authority on suicide prevention/intervention.
Lou, the 2016 Trinity Awards Emergency Responder of the Year, has more than two decades of experience in intervention and crisis response, and has authored the suicide prevention/ intervention book Listen, Learn, Lead, a standard textbook for several suicide prevention courses and agencies.
The seminar is free and open to the public, and adapted for military veterans, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, EMT, 911 operators, local ministers, educational leaders, and individuals that encounter those at risk of suicide.
Registration is 8:30-9am each day. Training is 9am-3pm. Five hours licensed professional credit is awarded for completing the training.
