Veteran Mental Health First Aid Course

This training specifically addresses the unique challenges faced by military members and veterans, including trauma and stigma.

About this event

Health • Mental health

Mental Health First Aid for Military, Veterans and their Families is an evidence-based training program developed for adults to support members of their community experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. Specifically, this course addresses the relevance of mental health to military culture, how to break down stigma, and how to reach those who suffer in silence and are reluctant to seek help.

This is an all-day in person class hosted by Adaptive Adventures in Westminster. There will be no on-line pre-work as all course material will be covered during the 8-hour session. Lunch will be served on campus during the training day.

To attend a class, you must:

*Register by November 14, 2025

*Have a valid email address to access MHFA materials and your certificate

This course is designed for anyone who would like to make their community a healthier, happier and safer place for all. Mental Health First Aid is for everyone—from neighbors, parents, friends, veterans, first responders, people in recovery, and community leaders.

Please reach out to Amy Cobb at Jefferson Center ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns.
