Veteran Standdown, Community and Homeless Resource Event is a community-based intervention event created to make a positive impact.
The Veteran Standdown, Community and Homeless Resource Event is a collaborative partnership of local city, county, state and federal organizations all providing services to those in need. Key support from San Bernardino County Veterans Services, VA Loma Linda Veteran Health Care System, Salvation Army, United Way, Goodwill and other community service providers.
OUR PURPOSE Riverside and San Bernardino Counties Veterans, Community and Homeless service event. Facilitate, manage and conduct a countywide Stand Down. Veterans come and learn about benefits, medical and dental services, housing, counseling, legal, employment, training, education, credit counseling, pet care and business development services available to them and receive military surplus clothing and equipment. Provide breakfast and lunch. Free haircuts, free medical checkup.
