Tim is a former US Army Ranger and Iraq War veteran. Following his military service, Tim continued working overseas for several years as a private military contractor while also attempting to avoid the spiraling mental health crisis he was facing. For years, Tim had lived in fear of the stigma, judgment and professional consequences that might result from opening up to healthcare providers and therapists about the trauma and Moral Injuries he sustained during the years he spent in service to country.
In his healing journey, Tim discovered the healing power of sacred plant medicines, mindfulness and nature-based therapy practices. For the first time in his life, Tim began to feel a sense of wholeness and clarity of purpose. Now Tim is committed to helping other Veterans who are seeking the same sense of wholeness and clarity of purpose that he discovered on his own journey of transformation.
In 2022, Tim graduated from Regis University with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Degree and co-founded The Wounded Healer Project, a 501c3 Non-Profit organization in Denver, dedicated to providing free and veteran-led mental health counseling support for justice-involved veterans struggling with PTSD, moral injury, and addiction. In addition, Tim is the owner of Agile Wellness Group, a Denver-based private therapy practice, where he currently serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Candidate specializing in addressing trauma and Moral Injury, enhancing the quality of life, and fostering resiliency within military veteran and first responder communities. Tim also offers individual and group psychospiritual education, preparation, harm-reduction, and integration support services.
The HeartQuarters:
HeartQuarters houses a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, wellness, and harm reduction in the psychedelic space. We strive to empower individuals and communities with knowledge and resources related to plant medicines, therapy, indigenous and contemporary religious practices, and legal counsel. Our mission is to build a culture of unity, solidarity, and collaboration, and to serve as a first point of contact for public education and discourse on entheogenic practices.
We believe that education and collaboration are essential to change the public perception of plant medicines and to create a sustainable model for their use. Our vision is to offer low barriers of entry to community support services and dialogue.
At HQ, we are committed to ending the drug war and empowering a narrative that recognizes drugs as medicines and sacraments with therapeutic value. Our goal is to facilitate connections between the public and practitioners, educators, and harm reduction services related to psychedelics, and to support a public narrative that embraces natural medicines in contemporary society.
