Wiregrass Living History and the 63rd Signal Battalion, U.S. Reenactors present the fourth annual WW II Weekend in Lakeland, GA. The event is based at Camp Patten, BSA and features a large and geographically diverse battlefield. The event is a hybrid event featuring an immersive tactical Friday and a tactical Saturday that incorporates a spectator battle in the afternoon. Spectators will be welcome on Saturday and reenactors willing to volunteer to participate in living history demonstrations during the morning tactical would be greatly appreciated. Reenactor Onsite Registration begins Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm and ends at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Immersive Historic Scenarios begin Friday at 11:00 am and continue until 5:00 pm Saturday. A period variety camp show will take place starting at 6:30 pm Saturday night. Volunteer acts among participants encouraged. Continental breakfast will be provided as well as Supper Saturday night. Bathrooms, running water and showers are available in the campground.
A registration fee of $20 will be required of all pre-registered reenactors to cover the costs of the tactical. The fee will be paid upon arrival at the event. Walk-on registration will be $25 so PLEASE pre-register. Registration fee is waived for period military vehicle owners. Pre-registration ends Sunday 1/9.
