Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will host the event and appearances will be made by local and state officials. The celebration will mark the successful completion of the program’s fifth year matching mentor companies to protégé companies.

The seven partnerships receiving recognition for the fifth session are Michels Corporation, Brownsville, Wis. and Diamond Discs International from Milwaukee, as well as Johnson’s DCS from Milwaukee; Score from Reedsville, Wis., and Dos Chiles Catering from Green Bay, as well as Joro Innovations from Green Bay; Schreiber Foods from Green Bay and Giantseed Creative from Green Bay; ThedaCare from Appleton and Custom Service Plastics from Lake Geneva; and Integrys Energy Services from Green Bay and Panacea Group from Seymour.

Also at the celebration, the program will name Most Valuable Mentors (MVMs) and Most Valuable Protégés (MVPs), honoring each respective company for its accomplishments and continued growth while participating in the program.

The program’s participants have demonstrated success in growing their businesses, including an increase in revenue and net profits, and number of clients. Additionally, the participants have increased the number of full and part-time employees. In the five years of the program, more than 100 full and part-time jobs have been created across the 27 protégé companies, with an average revenue growth of approximately 250 percent.

The program is administered by AFF Research LLC (AFFR). AFFR has consulted in the field of supplier diversity for 15 years, and has worked on the Lambeau Field redevelopment project and the Lambeau Field Atrium renovation project. AFFR assists their clients in designing and implementing comprehensive supplier diversity program. They also provide guidance to entrepreneurs.

The Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program was established in 2010 to pair emerging minority- and woman-owned companies (protégés) with established, knowledgeable, and committed companies (mentors) that can provide exposure, appropriate training, resources and experience not readily available to the protégé companies.
