Today we proudly celebrate the 251st Birthday of the United States Army!
Founded on June 14, 1775, more than a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed, the United States Army has stood as a symbol of courage, duty, and sacrifice for over two and a half centuries.
From the Revolutionary War to today’s global missions, generations of American Soldiers have answered the call to defend freedom, protect our nation, and serve with honor.
On this special day, we honor all who have worn the Army uniform—past and present—including Active Duty Soldiers, Army Reservists, National Guard members, Army Veterans, and the families who stand beside them.
Thank you to every Soldier who has served our great nation.
