January 2014 Veteran Unemployment Statistics

Overall, the National unemployment went from 6.7% to 6.6%; and the Veteran unemployment rate increased from 5.5% to 5.6%.

Removing those who are in college either full-time or part-time yields the following changes:
All (18-54) = 49k – unemployment rate goes from 5.6% to 5.1%
18-24 = 4k* – unemployment rate goes from 11.9% to 9.2%
25-34 = 18k – unemployment rate goes from 8.8% to 7.6%
35-44 = 19k – unemployment rate goes from 4.9% to 4.0%
45-54 = 8k – unemployment rate goes from 6.3% to 6.0%
*Does not meet BLS publication criteria
