Kentucky Visitors Bureau Is Collecting Christmas Cards for Veterans

The Owensboro Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau is collecting Christmas Cards for Veterans. All cards collected will be distributed to veterans in senior living facilities and nursing homes.  This is the Convention & Visitors Bureau’s sixth year collecting cards.

Last year, over 1800 cards were collected and distributed to area veterans in 13 different facilities around Owensboro and to the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.
Schools, church groups and civic organizations are encouraged to participate in the Christmas card project. Cards should be signed by group members or by individual names. The envelopes should be addressed to “Dear Service Member”, “Honored Veteran”, or “American Hero”, as each group prefers.

Cards can be dropped off at the Convention & Visitors Bureau office at 215 E. 2nd Street during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The collection began on December 1 and will last until December 14th.  For additional information, please contact the Convention & Visitors Bureau at 270-926-1100.
