Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas empowers self-reliance and inspires hope. As a church without walls, we do this through personalized housing, ministry, and health & human services that benefit vulnerable individuals, their families and the community.
Here in NC we impact our community and improve the lives of our neighbors, through programs like:
- Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration
- Grant Per Diem
- Veteran’s Transitional Housing
- Supportive Services for Veteran Families
To continue this commitment, we are creating a NC Advisory Board, and our now accepting applications.
Purpose:
To educate, promote the services provided by VOACC and build non-governmental resources.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with corporate, foundation, civic and governmental leaders to increase awareness of mission and services.
- Educate and inform elected leaders about the importance of services and affordable housing needs in NC.
- Provide resources to VOACC that may offset the funding gap each year through events and fundraising.
- Be appointed for a 2-year term.
- Meet quarterly.
