Saratoga Springs Law Firm Offers Turkeys for Veterans
Saratoga Springs, New York is giving back to veterans and military families this Tuesday through the “Turkeys for Veterans” program.
On November 20, 2012 nearly 1,800 pounds of turkey (100-plus birds) will be distributed to service members, veterans and families of those serving abroad.
The program is sponsored by Hannaford Supermarkets and Tully Rinckey PLLC law firm.
Capital Region service members, veterans and family members of those serving abroad can come to the law firm’s office at 441 New Karner Road in Albany between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday to receive a free turkey. (Available on a first-come, first-serve basis with proof of military ID. Limit one turkey per person.) The first 30 veterans to receive their turkey will also receive a $15 Hannaford gift card, courtesy of Tully Rinckey, to help complete their holiday feast.
This is the program’s fourth year. So far, it has provided turkeys to more than 300 soldiers, veterans and families of military personnel serving overseas.
Of the law firm’s 41 attorneys, 20 percent are veterans of the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Navy or are currently serving in the U.S. Army and National Guard Reserve. The firm’s founding partner, Mathew B. Tully, is a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National Guard who recently received a Purple Heart while serving in Afghanistan.
