The Northwest Commission PTAC will present a FREE training seminar on “Steps to Becoming VA Verified” through the Veteran Administrations VetBiz First Program on May 11th, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Center for Business Ingenuity, 900 State Street, Room 104, Erie, PA 16501. Co-sponsor of the event is the Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has special authority to set-aside and sole source contracts for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business/Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB). This seminar provides an overview of the verification process. SDVOSBs and VOSBs who want to participate in the VA’s Veterans First Contracting Program must be verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) [formerly the Center for Veterans Enterprise] in order to be eligible for VA contract set-asides. Information will be provided on the process and steps required to navigate the process.
