This Father’s Day, Remember Our Deployed Military Dads
As you spend time with your father, grandfather, son, husband, or other father figures this Father’s Day, please take a moment to remember the thousands of military fathers currently deployed around the world.
While many families are enjoying cookouts, sharing meals, exchanging gifts, and creating memories together today, countless fathers in uniform are serving far from home. They are missing baseball games, family gatherings, bedtime stories, and Father’s Day hugs so they can continue protecting and defending our nation.
Military service often requires sacrifices that extend far beyond the individual wearing the uniform. Spouses, children, and entire families share in those sacrifices, especially during holidays and special occasions like Father’s Day.
Today, as we celebrate the fathers who are present at our tables, let’s also honor those who are serving overseas, standing watch, deployed at sea, training away from home, or stationed in distant locations. Their commitment to both family and country deserves our gratitude and respect.
To all military fathers—past and present—thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering dedication to your families and our nation.
Happy Father’s Day, and may we never forget those who cannot be home today.
