VA cancels National Disabled Veterans TEE Tournament and National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic amid COVID-19 pandemic

Department of Veterans AffairsWASHINGTON – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced today the National Disabled Veterans TEE (Training, Exposure and Experience) Tournament, which had been scheduled for Sept. 13 to Sept. 18, in Riverside, Iowa, and the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic, scheduled to occur Sept. 20 to 25 in San Diego, Cali., have been canceled amid concerns surrounding COVID-19.

VA made this decision out of an abundance of caution for the health, safety and well-being of Veterans and their families, our employees and community partners. Our goal is to limit exposure to vulnerable populations like older Veterans and those with underlying medical conditions, as identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

VA looks forward to serving Veterans for the 2021 National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic in San Diego. VA and DAV (Disabled American Veterans) also look forward to presenting the National Disabled Veterans TEE Tournament in Iowa next year.
