SUMMARY:Veteran History Project Interviews with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nCome join us for the Veterans History Project at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami\, OK where we honor our brave veterans!\n\n\n\nJoin us for an incredible event celebrating our brave veterans! This Veterans History Project is an in-person gathering that will take place at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami\, OK. \nLocated at 200 I Street Northeast\, Miami\, OK 74354. \n***If you need any assistance with signing-up for this event please call 918-581-7651 and we can schedule you immediately. \nThank you very much for your interest in assisting veterans and the Library of Congress in this interview event sponsored by the American Red Cross and U.S. Senator James Lankford. Veterans are free to speak about whatever they want in the interview\, as long as it includes personal accounts of their military service. \nVeterans telling their stories must fill out two required forms\, the Biographical Data Form\, and the Veteran’s Release form. The release form gives the Veterans History Project permission to make your interview publicly available for nonprofit research purposes. It DOES NOT give away any rights. Copyright\, likeness rights\, and story rights are all retained by the veteran. \nPlease download\, print\, and bring the completed forms with you to your interview: \n\nBiographical data form: https://www.loc.gov/static/programs/veterans-history-project/documents/vhp-field-kit-biographical.pdf\nVeteran’s Release form: https://www.loc.gov/static/programs/veterans-history-project/documents/vhp-field-kit-veterans-release.pdf\n\nThese interviews are unedited and uncensored\, so their words will go into the historical record exactly as they said them. Here is a list of sample questions on the Library of Congress website: https://www.loc.gov/programs/veterans-history-project/how-to-participate/sample-interview-questions/ \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Senator Lankford’s Tulsa Office at (918) 581-7651 or email ok***************@***il.com \nYou’ll see for each interview we will need an interviewer and a note taker. OK Red Cross VHP training video for volunteers: \nhttps://vimeo.com/902414865/3f8a2ace3e?share=copy \nThis event is a unique opportunity to honor and preserve the memories of those who have served our country. \nREGISTER NOW
