5th Annual Vet Net Event

Troy Ford, Membership Director for VeteranOwnedBusiness.com and Cindi Courbat, Grant Writer and Communications Assistant for Veteran Owned Business (.com) and eWareness were happy to attend the 5th Annual Vet Net event held on December 13 at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne, FL.

The no-cost festive holiday-themed Meet and Greet featured over a dozen companies and offered veterans an opportunity to promote their business or provide assistance to veteran owned small businesses.

Linda Daniels, branch team leader for Regions Bank was anxious to provide information about Patriot Loans, small business funding programs and banking options for veterans.

Living Southern Style of Brevard, an assisted living home, was happy to discuss their newly remodeled home that will focus on America’s veterans and their surviving spouses as well as homeless veterans in need of quality assisted living.

Tony Espinosa, regional program manager for the Procurement Technical Assistance Center Progam in connection with the Small Business Development Center at University of Central Florida (UCF) said he will be the guest speaker at an upcoming government contracting series to be held at the Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College (BCC) in Cocoa.  The Government Contracting workshop is slated for Tuesday, February 05, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the SBDC at BCC Cocoa Campus in Building 3 – Room 103.

Vicki Peake, director of the Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College (which will take on the new name of Eastern Florida State College next summer) also expressed her enthusiasm about the event:
