About this event

Veterans Benefits-Serving Those Who Served America

Join the National Bar Association- Veterans Affairs and Military Law Section, Virginia State University Department of Social Work, and Old Dominion Bar Association on June 26, 2024 from 08:30 AM to 5:00 PM for an in-person event which will focus on serving Veterans and the benefits they deserve. This event will take place at Virginia State University, Gateway Dining Event Center, 2804 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Petersburg, VA 23806.

Our goal is to provide Veterans and those who work with and advocate for Veterans information about the benefits available to Veterans at the Federal level and through the Commonwealth of Virginia. We will have representatives from various organizations available to answer questions and provide information about benefits, benefit appeals and other Veteran support. We will also discuss the cultural competency needed to serve a Veteran client base.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn about the benefits available to Veterans and how to access them. Let’s show our appreciation for those who served our country and make sure they receive the support they need. Continental breakfast and box lunches will be served.
