General work description: Pavement Improvements: Repave the entire project length from Conow Street to Horse Hill pathway (0.9 miles) primarily using Partial Depth Recycling method. Also includes the installation of hot mix asphalt overlay, roadway widening, driveways, dikes, and shoulder backing. • Construct 1,800 linear feet of new concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, curb, and gutter. • Construction of soldier pile and lagging retaining walls, wood header walls, and monolithic concrete retaining walls. • Installation of storm drainpipes and underdrains, and the construction of concrete-lined ditches. • Installation of solar powered pedestrian lighting. • Thermoplastic striping and pavement markings as well as curb paint • Additional work includes erosion and sediment control, clearing and grubbing, traffic management, utility adjustments, the installation of permanent signage and pavement markings, tree removals, mailbox relocations, utility potholing, and the relocation of water meters.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to Timber lagging, Steel supplier, Construction staking, Construction area signs, Traffic control system, Traffic flagger, Plane asphalt concrete, Clearing & Grubbing, Place asphalt concrete dike & misc, Recycle, reclaim asphalt concrete pavement, Roadside sign, Saw cutting, Thermoplastic traffic striping & marking, Message signs, lighting & sign illumination, End dump truck, Street sweeping truck, Trucker, Construction staking (surveying)

Firms must possess & provide current contractor’s license number & DIR Registration number on the quote. No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%.
