CWR Female Veterans and First Responder Retreat
CWR is a non-denominational Christian Retreat with the mission of seeking healing and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
About:
Christian Warriors Retreat offers faith-based retreats for veterans, first responders, and their wives, with events held throughout the year at El Shaddai Retreat Center in Yorktown, Texas. Our mission is to seek true healing and freedom through Jesus Christ by pressing into deep places of hurt, struggle, and trauma to experience His transforming power.
At the CWR Female Veterans and First Responders Retreat, this is not just a place for physical rest—it’s a time for deep spiritual and emotional work. We will create a loving, grace-filled environment, but we will also dig into the hidden, uncomfortable places in our hearts where wounds and trauma often remain buried. Some participants may have hidden away pain they didn’t even realize was affecting them. This retreat is designed to bring those things to the surface so the Lord can truly heal them.
Throughout the weekend, we will work hard—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—pressing into the Lord, identifying and confronting struggles that have created distance between you and God. While there will be times of peaceful rest in the evenings, the focus of the days will be on spiritual battles and uncovering wounds, so that Jesus can bring healing, freedom, and wholeness into every part of your life.
No matter where you are in your journey with the Lord, this retreat is for you. Whether you’re a first-time seeker or have been walking with the Lord for years, the weekend is an opportunity to encounter God in a deep and personal way. Your presence and testimony may even spark healing in someone else’s life. We will create a safe environment where you can be vulnerable and open your heart to God.
You’ll hear powerful testimonies of God’s faithfulness and how He has transformed lives by bringing beauty from ashes. There will be biblical teachings, group discussions, and practical applications to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. We’ll cover topics like heart healing, strongholds, repentance, inner healing, deliverance, and being born again.
Activities and Worship:
We’ll also have times of creative worship like flagging, praise dancing, and Bible journaling, along with space for personal reflection. The beautiful grounds at El Shaddai offer quiet places for study, peaceful walks, and fellowship. Our ministers will be available to encourage and pray with you throughout the weekend, and the chapel will be open for times of worship and prayer.
We invite you to join us for this weekend of deep spiritual work, healing, and renewal. Come ready to confront what’s held you back, and leave experiencing the fullness and goodness of the Lord.
