Join us for an evening steeped in tradition and honor at the Saint Barbara’s Day Ball, hosted by the 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery.
The evening will feature a formal dinner, dancing, and a special live performance by the 42nd Infantry Division Band.
The Saint Barbara’s Day Ball is a time-honored celebration within the Field Artillery community, dedicated to recognizing the contributions and achievements of our soldiers and honoring the patron saint of artillerymen, Saint Barbara.
Whether you’re an active servicemember, a veteran, family, or a friend of the unit, this is a night you won’t want to miss. Come dressed in your finest attire, enjoy great food and entertainment, and be a part of this special tradition.

Awards Presentation: During this evening, we will recognize outstanding individuals with several prestigious awards:

- Ancient Order of Saint Barbara: Reserved for those with long-term dedication to the Field Artillery, embodying the spirit and commitment epitomized by Saint Barbara.
- Honorable Order of Saint Barbara: Recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, competence, and selflessness in service to the Field Artillery.
- Esteemed Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher: Honor those who have mentored other spouses and volunteers, showing a life-long commitment to the Field Artillery Community.
- Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher: Recognizes significant voluntary contributions to the improvement of the Field Artillery Community.

What is The Tradition of Saint Barbara’s Day?
The Order of Saint Barbara is a military honor society of the US for both the US Army and the US Marine Corps Field Artillery. On this occasion The Honorable Order recognizes those individuals within 1-258 Field Artillery Battalion who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, displayed an outstanding degree of competence and served the United States Army Field Artillery Branch with selflessness. They have significantly contributed to the promotion of the Field Artillery in ways that stand out in the eyes of their seniors, subordinates, and peers alike. They have established a standard of excellence for aspiring Redleg’s. More than any other event in the life of Field Artillery soldiers, Saint Barbara’s Day offers an opportunity to enhance professional commitment and underscore lofty standards of excellence and to create an atmosphere of camaraderie among Field Artillery soldiers within 1-258 Field Artillery Battalion, their families, and cohesion within the units.
